MEET NANCY
Hi, I’m Nancy Hicks
I’m a speaker, teacher, podcaster and author who works at the intersection of head, heart and soul to help women just like you live fully alive in their faith.
I understand what it’s like to try and balance work, marriage and motherhood. I know you too are playing so many roles and feeling that there must be more in you and for you. Believe me. I get it! But in each season, I’m learning the power of intimacy with God. I’m finding true aliveness from within. And you can too. It’s time to face all this world throws your way and unleash the power and Life in you.
I Want You to Know…
Life does not come simply. Sometimes all is well in our world and then the unexpected happens. In May 2019 while in the middle of graduate work at Harvard University, my beloved older son, David (26), was diagnosed with colon cancer. Just two years later, on May 1, 2021 that precious son died. My mother heart was shredded. I’m learning that yes, life comes to us in moments of glee and vitality, and it also comes to us in quiet solitude or piercing pain.
This is recent and still raw for me and yet….. I wrestle, I struggle, and I grieve in the loving, accepting presence of God.
Here’s what I’m convinced of:
The extent to which you enter into the depth of your pain with God, is the extent to which genuine life is released in you. They are equal in measure.
If you’re someone who has life—or as I often refer to it as Life/ God—all figured out, you don’t need me. But if you’re someone who struggles and wrestles with God and doubt or with faith and relationships, please stick around. You’re why I get up every day and continue to create resources and serve through this ministry.
ABOUT the NANCYHICKSLIVE ministry
I spent more than a decade at QVC as an on-air spokesperson. I loved my time there but finally sensed God calling me to full-time ministry. So, after earning my master’s in theology from Palmer Seminary of Eastern University, I launched my international speaking ministry, NancyHicksLive. Today, I have the privilege of speaking and teaching all over the world, equipping and encouraging women to live fully alive in their faith.
I’m also the author of Meant to Live and you may have seen me talking about the book on Hallmark’s Home & Family, The Jesus Calling Podcast, as well as in Publisher’s Weekly, The Christian Post, Christian News Journal, Philadelphia Weekly and more.
